The Profmil Group was established in 1932 by Rutger Langaskens senior, grandfather of the current CEO Rutger "Mike" Langaskens.
Throughout his career, Mike has designed over 1500 buildings. His design portfolio includes houses, apartments, schools and hospitals.
Mike moved to Koh Samui in 1998 and has since developed one of the largest design and construction companies on the island.
The Profmil Group has expanded noticeably from constructors of luxury villas to the group of companies that it is today, specializing in construction, rentals and management services. This expansion is the result of years of hard work with a determined team; the company has been and is working on over 30 projects to date.
Mike places great importance on staff development and customer satisfaction, so with that in mind he has put in place a European designed and managed planning system to improve the working methods towards the successful completion of a project.
Currently there are around 750 people working for Profmil, making it the largest employer on the island. With a diverse group of European personnel, we are able to communicate with our clients in English, French, German, Thai, Danish and Dutch.
Our management personnel are trained individuals with a large knowledge of their field of work, always ready to give their professional answers to every question that might arise.

The founder of the company,
Rutger Langaskens Senior was a famous
architect and a surveyor in Belgium, as well as a professor in architecture
at St. Lucas Architectural School in Ghent.
Rutger also held the prestigious position of President of the Order of Architects of East Flanders for many
years.
Son of Rutger Langaskens Senior, Disdir Langaskens, is a professor and was Dean of the
Architectural Department in Ghent from 1966 to 2000, before he settled down
on Koh Samui.
Son of Disdir Langaskens, the current CEO, Rutger Langaskens Junior
(nickname "Mike") now runs the business on Koh Samui.
As the CEO of Profmil Group, he takes care
that all construction, design and the property management is completed to
the highest of standards.
Arne Langaskens (nickname "Martin"), the second son of Disdir Langaskens, is
the Managing Director of the office in Hong Kong from where the luxury
developments designed and built by Profmil Company are showcased.
